Please use our media application form below to apply for a media pass at the Pretty Heroes Convention, to be held July 18-19, 2026 at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre in Toronto.
Media outlets are requested to submit this form at least two weeks in advance of the event in order to be processed in time for the convention.
We do not process media applications on site.
If approved, you will need to show your media credentials (e.g. a business card) to registration or bring a QR code to be scanned for an attendee badge/wristband. Your media credentials will be requested to receive the media sticker/button.
Approved media reps are permitted to take photos and videos in public areas of the event as long as any stated restrictions are followed (e.g. no flash photography during performances/panels, non-flash photography is generally okay). Media reps are typically not admitted during setup/dismantle hours unless special permission has been granted by the head organizer. Please consult with the venue for filming any public areas outside of the contracted event space (e.g. martial arts classes, the museum, the gallery).
Photos and videos of anyone but yourself are not permitted inside bathrooms/change rooms for privacy reasons.
Media reps may charge for photos/videos outdoors only on a private basis as long as it does not interfere with your ability to capture sufficient media coverage. Inside the venue, media reps may not charge or solicit services for sale.
Media reps are encouraged to review our FAQ for guidelines that apply to all event participants.
Event crew and venue personnel are available for you to coordinate with as needed on site. Event staff primarily have burgundy t-shirts. Volunteers will have a pink ribbon to identify them as well as a volunteer button. Event crew typically wear crew badges as well.
Submitting the form is not a guarantee of acceptance for media passes.
Approvals will typically be sent at least two weeks before the convention. If you have not received an update about your application by two weeks before the convention, please email [email protected] for an update.
Please note that accepted media reps are not entitled to special guest privileges. Please do not refer to yourself as a guest in your coverage, even if you are an invited media rep.
